Pair of Mount Lebanon Shaker Community 3 Slat Side Chairs  These chairs' typical more tapered and refined backposts at 1 3/8" thick with scribe marks, slightly tapered stretchers, and not graduated, highly arched or chamfered slats the topmost secured by wood pins, identify it as a later mid 19th C chair from Mount Lebanon.  What is unusual about these chairs is while they maintain the typical elongated double indented finials of other chairs from Mount Lebanon, the level of detail of this feature, along with the strong taper of the front posts, makes these chairs highly refined examples.  Please contact us for a full condition report prior to purchase.
