"Postage Stamp" quilt, circa 1880-1890

This wonderful antique quilt was in the same family for 5 or 6 generations.  The family lived in Tennessee and Mississippi and the most recent owner of the quilt believes that it was made in one of those places. I was given a list of the previous owners of the quilt, which really brings the history alive.  Some of the fabrics on this quilt are quite worn, but that is expected based on its age, and there is a small hole in the center.   It measures approximately 6' x 7'.
