Awesome Sunbonnet Sue Quilt
This quilt pattern, called "Sunbonnet Sue," was very popular in the 1920s-30s. This particular quilt, made by the well-known quilter, Mary Madden, of Spencer, MA, in 1990, is particularly special because of the detailed emellishments, including lace and buttons added to the majority of the dresses and bonnets, and the varied fabrics comprising the borders in between the girls. It is meticulously made and in great condition. It measures 86 x 74 inches and is a great example of this classic quilt.
