Shaker Cast Iron Stove.  Circa 1815-1830.  Made and designed by the Shaker brothers in the North Family at the Mount Lebanon Community.  The Shakers also made the wooden molds used at the iron foundry.  The fire box and tray are cast iron.  The door, latch and penny feet are hand forged wrought iron made by Shaker blacksmiths.  A very early example.  Foundry cracks in the door and box.  26 1/2 inches deep x 12 inches wide x 20 inches high.  Provenance: Charles L.
