Shaker Community Child's Slat Back Rocking Chair. Circa 1840. Possibly Enfield, CT. Elongated finials. 3 graduated back slats with very slight bevel. Topmost secured with wooden pins. Scribe marks on backposts. Tapered stretchers. Vintage Grey and cream, 2 over 1, web seat Originally a side chair. Later conversion into rocker. Approximately 41" high, seat 16" x 14".
