Shaker Watervliet Community Low Back Dining Chair.  Circa 1860-1880.  Figured Maple.  Single bold arched slat with bevel.  Bold back posts strongly tapered above the slat and topped with nipple pommels.  Original red stain finish.  Original splint seat.  Overall height 25 inches.  Seat height 16 inches. The later production date for this chair is confirmed by the Victorian period turnings on the front rail.  Contact us for price.
