Shaker Workshops Contemporary Sewing Table

This unique stand was made by Shaker Workshops. Shaker Workshops was founded in 1970 in Massachusetts with the purpose of reproducing original Shaker furniture as faithfully as possible. To this day, Shaker Workshops furniture is produced by skilled craftspeople from throughout New England  The top and drawers of this table are supported by a precisely-cut dovetailed yoke. The drawers are dovetailed both front & back and are accessible from either direction.  The table has legs that are inspired by "spider leg" shaker candle stands and a shaft which tapers dramatically with very little adornment save for a small increase in diameter near the top. All of these are quintessential Shaker.  Height is 25.5". Top measures 17.5"  x 10".
