Unique Vintage Sampler/Friendship Quilt

This unique sampler/friendship quilt is made up of hand-appliqued and hand-embroidered blocks and is beautifully quilted. The blocks contain the quilters' signatures, along with a location in Pennsylvania and the date 1936.  It is cotton, measures  70 x 72 inches and has a scalloped border. The quilt is in excellent condition, with light staining and no wear.  There are 7-8 stiches to the inch.  The back is white, the hand-stitched binding is blue and the batting is thin.  This is a stunning one-of-a-kind piece!
