Early Community Slat Back Side Chair in red stain. Circa 1840. Possibly Watervliet or New Lebanon. Finely shaped finials. 3 graduated arched ladderbacks with top bevel. Wooden pegs secure topmost ladderback. Scribe marks on back posts. New striped taped seat. Approximately 39" high, seat 16" x 13.5", seat height 14.5". Repaired seat stretcher.
